What does your job look like?
As an accountant you are responsible for a wide range of accounting and tax tasks for our diverse client portfolio. You play an active role in preparing and managing files, working with your colleagues to give our clients the best possible service. Your main responsibilities are:
- Accounting transactions: You post the day-to-day entries and make sure all financial data is recorded accurately and on time in our digital system.
- Year-end closings: You prepare the year-end closings, draw up balance sheets and make sure the annual accounts are complete and correct according to current legislation.
- Tax returns: You prepare tax filings such as VAT returns, corporate income tax and personal income tax returns, and make sure they are filed on time and correctly.
- Advising clients: You are the first point of contact for a diverse client portfolio and advise them on both accounting and tax matters. You help them optimise their tax strategies and make investment decisions.
- Internal collaboration: You work closely with your colleagues and support them with complex questions. You also maintain contacts with external partners such as auditors and tax advisors.
- Staying up to date: You keep yourself informed of new laws and regulations and apply this knowledge in your daily work. You actively take part in training and seminars to keep developing your expertise.
